1. Nutrient Value
The nutritional level of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and live enzymes found in the juice is the nutrient value.  Higher RPM juicers produce more heat, friction, oxidation that can lower the nutrient value of the juice.

2. Yield
Yield (ounces of juice per pound of produce) is the amount of juice extracted from a specific amount of vegetables or fruits.

3. Versatility
Some juicers can perform other functions than just juicing including: making nut butters or frozen desserts, pasta shaping, mincing, and creating baby foods.  Also some juicers will juice wheatgrass.

4. Types of Produce Best Suited
There are juicers that are best for fruits and others best for vegetables, leafy greens, and wheatgrass. See Chart below.

5. Juicing Time
Some juicers are fast, others slower to preserve nutrient value.

6. Ease of Cleaning
The amount of time and effort involved in cleaning a juicer is an important criteria to consider.

7. Feeding Chute Size
Chute size can determine the time required to cut and prepare fruits and vegetables before juicing.

8. Noise Level
Some juicers are very quiet while others have louder motors.

9. Cost
Quality juicers range in price from $99 to $1200
